If you are looking at holey socks and shedding a tiny tear, this class is for you! No more saying, “Oh, darn” and throwing out your beautiful socks! Join us for an exploration of darning and visible mending. We will learn how to mend holes and weak points in our knitting.
Skills learned: basic darning, swiss darning (a.k.a. duplicate stitch), grafting a patch onto our knitting
Date: Thurs. April 10 from 1 - 3 PM
Instructor: Cathy
Prerequisite skills: For intermediate and advanced knitters
Materials: Please bring or purchase a darning egg or mushroom, darning needle and darning thread. Also bring any socks or other items with holes or weak points, you will mend them in class!
