A single-ply authentic Donegal tweed yarn that knits up lighter than air!
In a recent yarn tasting with the Unwind team, this Irish tweed was the runaway hit! Everyone on our team loved it. While Kelbourne classified it as a sport weight, everyone on our team was getting a DK to worsted gauge with this yarn.
Cricket is a versatile light worsted to sport weight, depending on your preference. This is light-weight yarn creating long-lasting sweaters! Karen held this yarn with Lamana Premia to make her made Field Cardigan.
It can be knit densely for structure. Or you can knit it loosely for an ethereal and next-to-the-skin-soft fabric. It blooms beautifully when blocked.
The 415 yard skein is ample, and many projects can be completed in a single skein.
It comes in a range of rich colors, evoking the dramatic Irish landscape.
A traditional sign of good luck, a cricket is a symbol of abundance and vitality. Their cheerful song is a harbinger of good things to come.
