So many of you admired the coasters that we have on our big table, and asked for a workshop to create them. Here it is!

The pattern is Coasting by Canadian designer Mary W. Martin.

Learn Mary's innovative Woven Knitting technique.

We love this pattern because first and foremost, Mary is brilliant and you will learn something from her pattern! Also, coasters are the perfect way to try a new technique, as they are a small commitment in terms of time and yarn. Once you have mastered the technique, coasters make great gifts!

If you have experience knitting cables, this class is for you!

Dates: Wednesday, May 7 and 21 from 7 -9 PM

Instructor:  Cathy

Prerequisite skills: You must already know how to knit cables to take this class!

Materials: The pattern is provided. Please bring or purchase WoolDreamers Mota or another worsted weight feltable yarn*, 4.5mm circular needles 60cm (24") long, plus small scraps of paper (small post-it notes), crochet hook approximately 4.5mm, 3 stitch markers, 1 end-of-round marker, sharp scissors.

There will be homework before the class starts, so register soon!

Students receive 10% off in-store for class materials.

The blue and white coasters are Mary's version. The grey and aqua are ours. Note: We removed the selvedge stitches when we cut our coasters.
