Let's BBQ and knit a TREE COZY together! (That tree complains ALL THE TIME about having the chills. Enough already.)

This Saturday June 12th, come and join us knitting in front of the store! Around 11am till whenever....

I'll have burgers grillin', needles flyin! Come pop in for a bit and knit your part.....the tree needs you.

And just to make it EXTRA SPECIAL, everything in the store will be 10% off Saturday and ONLY!

Oh, and if you have any colourful waste yarn you want to bring along to knit a section of the tree cozy with--please do! I have some old stuff we can use too....chunky and acrylic is best!

Here's our Charlotte's Web Sample made out of Koigu! Wowzers! It's so pretty....Don't forget to take a look at our knit-a-long's because this one's been added. We start in August....Click here for more deets. Scroll all the way down for knit-a-long info....

I gotta tell you, we've been having so much fun at these knit-a-longs! Right girls?! So come out and join the fun....

Here's another version of our millipede scarf our of hand dyed wool from Fleece Artist. One ball does this super-fun scarf--only $16!!! Get your Christmas scarf knitting DONE and DONE. (sorry to say the "Ch" word. I won't do it again until at LEAST October. promise.)

PATTERN: Using 10mm needles, Cast on 4 sts . Knit one row. Cast on 5 sts, cast off 5 sts. Knit across remaining sts. Continue until your yarn is gone. Voila!

This stuff has LOTS of great texture that works perfectly with this pattern.

And a beautiful scarf sample came in..."Montego Bay" out of Hand Maiden's Sea silk. Free pattern. Simple, one ball, stunning. I'm doing one out of the Camelspin by Hand Maiden. Just got a huge shipment of it in....Luscious.

On the Camelspin note...we're going to make a Clapotis scarf (our fave scarf pattern here at the store--plus, guess what? Free) out of 2 random balls of Hand Maiden's Camelspin...

We're going to do a before and after shot just to show you how amazingly these yarns work together. So here are the balls we chose. We'll knit 2 rows with one then 2 rows with the other. Stay tuned for the end result....

I mean it. That trees gonna get 'the ax' if it doesn't quit it about the cold weather. You wouldn't want me to kill a tree would you? It's very much against my politics : )

Last Call ....

Last call for Deb Gemmell's Top Down Sweater class!

She's coming THIS Sunday, June 6th at 2pm, and you really DON'T WANT TO MISS HER!
