I keep meaning to tell you something, but I keep forgetting. Today is the day.
Many of you know about this already, but in case some of you don't...psst.... www.ravelry.com is the coolest place to be online, if you're a knitter.
Ravelry is where thousands of knitters have met and shared their stashes, their projects, their talents and their heart aches. It's organized and cross referenced in such a way that you can go on and type in any yarn or any pattern you are interested in and find TONS of people who have done what you're looking to do, complete with pictures, comments and advice! It's a knitting miracle! And a major time-sucking hazard, if you’re not careful. Beware.
There's also a group called Unwind! It's for you, so find it and join it! Oh, and here's my semi-brand-new blog. http://unwinder.blogspot.com/ I don't talk about knitting much, sorry to say. But I have lots of other frivolous thoughts to share. : )
Well, as the month marches by, new things have been arriving everyday. We're in the restocking phase--my favourite phase, to be honest. (I’m rubbing my hands together in gleeful anticipation)
So here it goes...

Look at these great new things!! They're yarn bowls, hand made by a local potter. We love Jamie! What a stylish and dignified way to keep your yarn from rolling all over your floor. I love them. And they're only $20.

And, just because I love local and I love hand made and I love gorgeous-ness, I got these shawl pins in from Sweater Kits from Newmarket. I'm telling you, there are some seriously talented people in this town. These are only $15.

And here are some other glorious goodies from sweater kits....more of her remarkable hand dyed silk. $29.

And some fantastic shawl kits. These are shawls, with sleeves. These are for people who love shawls, but don't wear them because they're 'impractical'. This is your practical shawl. $80. The yarns in these kits are all hand dyed and stunning.
(I have to apologize for the picture quality of these shots. It stinks. But my digital camera sits here, still, with no batteries and I have only my blackberry with which to take photos. It does its best, but that's really not what it's meant for...)
I'm waiting to see if my new shipment of lovely tweed sweater yarn and baby yarn will arrive before I leave today, so I can tell you about it. Is that my delivery guy.......??? YES!!!
Look at me! This is a sample of the Tweedy Chunky in action! What a great pattern, what a great yarn. Thanks for taking the pic, Jane!

Here’s another pattern idea….they have tons for this yarn!
4 of the colours….

Sublime has created a 4 ply baby yarn, complete with cashmere, silk, sugar and spice and everything nice. The book is not here yet, but the yarn is…6 colours, as soft as baby’s bum.

And finally, we have Eco Cashmere from your earth-friendly yarn suppliers from The Earth Collection. Each ball is 50 grams of lace weight, natural cashmere, 323 yards. It’s easily enough to make a luxurious scarf. Enjoy.
Well…as you can see things have been hummin along in here. I will have lots more to tell you in the weeks to come! So many cool surprises…
Stay tuned…and stay knitting…oh, and stay warm.
Just for fun…

My little conehead…
