All classes must be paid for at the time of registration--in person or with paypal or VISA/Master Card over the phone. Classes are non-transferable and non-refundable (but I always break this rule).

This is a beautiful free pattern from ravelry. Ya'll know how much I love my triangular neck scarves (In fact, I'm wearing one right now as I right this. Great for too many chins!).
This one is lovely and a great first time lace project. We have done it out of Hand Maiden's cashmere sock yarn, Casbah. We also have a sample in the store done out of the new Noro lace yarn, Sekku. Come in and see them both. Then join us for a class and make one yourself!

Portuguese Knitting (1, 2 hour sessions): $29 (portuguese knitting 'pin' included)
Huh? Ok, this Portuguese Knitting is super cool. But it's hard to explain. Here's a pic of someone doing it--yes, the butterfly on her shoulder is involved....
This technique is easy on the hands, fabulous for colourwork and just darn interesting. We've invited Stuart, are resident 'fella', to teach this technique

Learn to Knit in the Round: BABY HAT!
(1, 2 hour session): $49 (EVERYTHING included)
Make a cute baby hat while learning how to knit in the round. If you want to knit socks, sleeves, hats, mittens, etc., this is a must-have skill!
You will learn how to use double pointed needles, tips on how to knit in the round and the Magic Loop Technique.

Basic Socks (2, 2 hour sessions): $35
Here's a good 'ole sock class for anyone who wants to learn the basics. Let's turn a heel together! There's strength in numbers.
You should feel comfortable knitting and purling and should be able to knit in the round in order to take this class.
We will knit in the round using double pointed needles or the magic loop. Both of these skills are covered in the Learn to Knit in the Round class listed above.

TOE-UP BED SOCKS (two, 2 hours session): $48 (yarn included)
Back for one more season, our famous toe-up bed socks. You will learn short rows for toes and heels, how to work with magic loop and how to knit a sock that will fit any foot using any yarn!

TOP DOWN SWEATER (1, 3 hours session): $75 (yarn and pattern book included)
Deb is back to teach her famous "no-sew" sweater in Teddy Bear format. Either cardigan or pull over, chunky or fine, whatever the variable, this class will show you how to make every sweater you've ever wanted to knit. And the best part--NO sewing when you're done! It's a knitting miracle!
Deb will also talk about design, readjusting your sweater to fit your gauge and lots of other tips and tricks to take your knitting to the next level. This is a great class for anyone interested in designing their own sweater or someone who wants to knit a big sweater for themselves eventually.

CONTINENTAL KNITTING (1, 2 hours session): $25
Have you ever seen someone knitting continental and thought, "I curse my grandma who taught me the American knitting method!" Ok, maybe cursing grandma is a little harsh. But I think we've all wished at some point in our knitting lives that we were able to knit like the Europeans. It just looks so FAST!
So, here's your opportunity to learn. Even if you just want to make fair isle easier and not completely change your knitting course, this will be a great class for you.
STUART--yes, he's a man, is up to the challenge of teaching even the oldest of dogs this new trick....ahem. It's just an expression. : )

Ok. So we're a little late on this phenomenon. But we still think it's cool. The sample we're working on is done out of Hand Maiden's Sea Three--a thick and sumptuous version of her Sea Silk. Draped around your neck like jewelry--what a GREAT gift. Join us and learn this super cool technique.

Learn to finish your work like a pro. Bring a project you’re working on. You will learn:
- Techniques to do before you start your work to make finishing easier

Learn to Crochet (2, 2 hour sessions): $50 inc. materials
Learn the basics of crochet in these sessions—chain stitch, single and double crochet, how to read a pattern, the anatomy of the crochet stitch. Price includes cotton for the dishcloth and crochet hook.
