Fall Classes are UP!! And so is inventory…
Go there now to check them out.
This year I put the classes together in Google Calendar. If you have google calendar, add Unwind’s calendar to yours and you’ll never forget what’s coming up. The calendar’s name to put in the Add a Friend’s Calendar Box is: unwindyarnhouse
We’ve added lots of really neato crochet classes, as promised. Lots of oldies but goodies and some new ones too.
I have room for a knit a long in October–if you have any suggestions, please shoot them my way! I’d love to hear from you.
I’m really excited about the Christmas stocking knit-a-long in November, to be honest. I love that traditional holiday look. What can I say? I’m sentimental!
Wouldn’t you love to have these on your mantel?? And wouldn’t you know it…I have the perfect yarn ; ) Come in and I’ll show you.

So Sandra and I went yarn shopping the other day and brought back THE MOTHER LOAD of yarn to the store….here’s a wee peek.
Jacqueline is going to make a pretty sweater from the Escape Chunky she bought–before the yarn was out of the bag, I might add. ; ) A great book of patterns to go with…

I love to watch people’s faces when they touch this yarn for the first time….shock, bliss. This is 100% baby alpaca, quite possibly THE softest fibre in the world. Yes, I say that right in the face of cashmere. Baby alpaca is often referred to as “poor man’s cashmere” because the price for 100 grams is a meager $15.

I couldn’t resist bringing back some Noro Silk Garden. This amazing yarn stripes itself gently using the most amazing colour combos. Anything knit in this yarn is so distinctive and recognizable. Noro yarns are a true work of unparalleled art.

Here’s a great free pattern form the one and only Brooklyn Tweed–striped scarf.
Only 4 balls. Something for the cute boy in your life…
(If this pattern isn’t your thang, ravelry has 9471 other ideas for you. Seriously.)

Our Mulberry Merino wall has been replenished.

Hey look! This girl did the Honey Cowl with the Mulberry Merino. What a neat idea. Maybe we’ll do one too.

So that’s the news folks.
Hope you’re having an amazing summer!
Wendy
PS I updated the section on my website called “What’s Sandra Knitting?” I promise to do it more often…go take a quick peak. As usual, it’s amazing.
